OUR REVIEW
With a strength of 7 out of 10, Gourmesso’s Bolivia Pura Mezzo is a pretty intense capsule which focuses on delivering instant flavors. While its texture feels light and lacks a bit of thickness, hints of chocolate and fruits – I’m suspecting berries but I might be wrong – are revealed upon first sip, providing a very pleasant coffee experience. While the aftertaste isn’t what matters here, you will notice that it will leave with you with a light salty and dark feeling similar to what happens after eating dark chocolate.
COFFEE PAIRING
- Activities: Because of its strength and flavor, this is a coffee you can start your day with, especially if you are not very awake, and you can follow up with a few more cups. However, be aware that after several cups, you will feel its caffeinated effect.
- Music: No, I’m not gonna make you listen to Bolivian music; Rather, I’m recommending the moody synth songs – most particularly “Jonathan” – from French artist Christine and the Queens.
- Food: Because of its chocolate notes, I paired Bolivia Pura Mezzo with a pain au chocolat and they complemented each other finely.
